Noticeboard

On Friday 3 March we will be trialling a new telephone system.

If you call the surgery and the lines are busy you will receive a message telling you where you are in the queue, you can then make the decision to either call back later or continue hold.  As soon as a Receptionist is free they will take your call.

We are going to see how this works for patients and staff for a three month period and then review this system at the end of May.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

GP Net Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.  The average pay for GPs working in Devonshire Green in the last financial year was £34,074 before tax and national insurance.  This is for 5 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.

According the the British Medical Association a Salaried GP in England 2016-17 would be expected to earn a minimum of £55,965.
